What ThinkLeft uses
ThinkLeft processes data on your device to provide estimates and personal patterns:
- Decisions you log—titles, weights, timestamps, optional context tags, plans, notes, and outcomes.
- Motion signals—accelerometer readings used for optional movement context, not location.
- App activity inside ThinkLeft—such as the decisions and breaks you log.
- Calendar timing—used for optional schedule context. A decision block is created only when you explicitly request it.
- Sleep information—sleep duration and timing from HealthKit, only if you grant read access.
- Mood entries—check-ins you choose to record.
What the developer never receives
- Your decision titles, notes, outcomes, or HealthKit records
- Your location or GPS coordinates
- Your messages, notification content, browsing history, or activity in other apps
- Your payment information
Storage and backups
Decision records, estimates, mood entries, calendar-derived timing, and HealthKit imports are stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework. ThinkLeft does not upload decision or HealthKit records. You may export a portable backup to a location you choose. Protected automatic backups may be included in your device’s iCloud Backup according to your Apple settings.
Permissions
Motion, Calendar, Health, Notifications, and Face ID are optional. ThinkLeft asks only after you choose the related action. Health access is read-only; ThinkLeft does not add or change Health data. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple. ThinkLeft does not receive your payment-card information.
Deletion
You can delete your local ThinkLeft record from the app’s Settings. Removing the app also removes its local data, subject to any device backup you control.
Children
ThinkLeft does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
